I'm thinking about putting a SureFire light on my Mossberg 500, but I'm not sure how to install it. Do you remove the stock fore end by loosening the large nut at the front of the gun? I've seen the tool for doing this in Brownell's catalog. Is there anything else I need to know?

If you shoot me your e-mail, I can send you the manual, or just that page, if you are so inclined.

Usually the surefire lights come with a small metal "tool" to loosen the forarm retaining nut. In order to use the tool, you'll have to first remove the barrel, then unscrew the mag tube. It's pretty easy, and sure fire also provide decent instructions. Hope this helps some.
