It looks as if I'll soon be getting started with an armed security gig. After some research here on TFL, I've decided on a Taurus 608 .357 revolver in stainless with 6 1/2" bbl as my probable work sidearm. Can someone help me find a security / retention holster for this gun?

There is a reason most cops went to the 4 incher. Its lots more comfortable to carry and won't dig your side when you sit down or get in a vehicle. Otherwise I like your choice of gun. Any holster desighed for an N frame smith shoulf fit your 608. I like the ones in dillins catalog.

I second the 4" suggestion.

As far as holsters, FIST Holsters makes their entire line in leather or kydex to fit the 608. Please let us know if you need any assistance.
