View Full Version : Are SPAS shotguns illegal in the US, or just Cali?

Im a newbie, so go easy on me! Im just curious about the laws on this weapon. I love the look of it. I havent had the good fortune to fire one yet. Anyway, thanks for the knowledge, I will be soaking it up like a sponge.

They're legal here in MA.... which is surprising. I believe that the ones that are already in the country are legal, but no more may be imported due to the 1989 EO.

they are legal in the u.s. unless outlawed by individual states. California is one of the ones that bans it by name. they are treated as a regular shotgun in most states.

Yes, outlawed from import, outlawed in certain states, and I think it was outlawed by the AWB, due to being a semi-auto shotgun with a mag capacity larger than 5 shells, but I could be wrong on that. Otherwise the're fine, just really expensive.
