I think so. Not as nice as some of the better kydex rigs out there, but for the price a very adequate range holster.

Great holster for carry, range use.
Hard to carry all day. However, it's hard to beat for range use.
I like them a lot for what they are.

I have used Fobus paddle holsters for over 4 years. I use them at the range, and for concealed carry. I like them and consider them worth the money and a good start to see of you like a kydex paddle.
I have them for 1911, Glock, Kel Tec P32, and S&W J frames. None has given me a bit of trouble.
I also have paddle holsters made by Uncle Mike's, Galco (leather), and Comp tac. If I just had one it would be Comp tac, but there is nothing wrong with the Fobus. You may get some comments that they are junk, and I will not dispute some one else's experience, but in my experience they are not junk. The biggest problem is that they are not adjustable, and sometimes do not fit as well as you might like. My Glock holster was too tight at first, and required some time to stretch enough to fit.
As I use kydex holsters, I like them more and more. They hold the gun securely, but are very fast, having less friction, and with the front cut low they clear the holster before the muzzle reached the top of the belt.

Although I love the beauty of leather, I have been carrying with a Fobus paddle and like it very much. I find that the holster doesn't move (creep), holds the weapon in tight to my body (doesn't print), is lightweight, and retains my weapon very securely without the need for a thumbstrap. I've had no problems, it's a good value.

I have a number of Fobus holsters including a couple paddle holsters. I am fully satisfied with them and would buy another one in a heart beat.
I also own another kydex holster that cost a lot more money than Fobus and was made by a company that gets a lot more press, but I can't see where that holster offers ME anymore than Fobus would. Yes, it is adjustable, but I have never adjusted it or felt the need to adjust the Fobus.
I think they are a great buy regardless of price. I bought my first one for the same reason you are: I wanted a cheap holster for the range. After getting the first one, I bought more: not because of the price, but because I really liked the holster.

anyone have experience with fobus paddle holsters???
After using one of the higher dollar kydex holsters (belt type) for a few years, the fobus rig did seem thin & cheap when I bought it mail order. However, I've never had a "problem" with it, per se.
My brother came out last year & we went out behind the barn to tag a few targets. I just grabbed my fobus paddle & clipped it onto my jeans. After some warmup, bro manned the Pact timer & I got ready to draw. I think I was pretty quick on target, but unfortunately my pistol never came out of the holster. It took bro a few seconds to to look (he was watching the taget) to see why there was no bang. I was pointed in on the target, feebly scratching my trigger finger on the side of the holster where it covers the trigger gaurd. They have quite aggressive belt hooks inside of the paddle, but you have to be wearing a belt for them to work ;)
