hey all,
just bought one of those 8-gun stack-on metal locker deals for $100. my long arm collection has grown slightly over the last several months from two to five, with a couple in the queue, so i figured it was about time to get some lockable storage.

i do plan on purchasing a liberty at some time, however since we still live in a rental i decided to wait on that and get something i could easily take with when we move.

only gripe so far is that **** sticker they put on the door, what a ***** to get off!

anyone else?

Some goof-off or other orange based cleaner will get that sticker goo right off. Those stack-on units are indeed cheap, but they do the job. I have seen one of those pretty well beaten up in a school when the keys for the lock went missing... :rolleyes: They seemed to take the abuse, as they didnt manage to get into it until they got a hold of my plasma cutter.

They do a good job. Buy another and bolt them together. When properly bolted to the wall they are quite sturdy and don't have to go in the basement! To top it off they are small enough to fit almost anywhere.

i broke into mine with a big screw driver and a claw hammer in about 5 mins. when i lost the keys. 187

The problem with the stack-on and the base locker it usually sits on is that both can be easily removed from the home in a burglary. Can't easily do it with a 500 to 2000 pound safe. Notice I said "can't easily" be stolen. I just read somehwere that some guy has his 750 pound safe lifted out of his home.
