Being the cheapy that I am, I checked ebay for this product. This isn't this same brand, but is a LOT cheaper.

Hey TJ, I'm gonna eBay snipe you! Just kidding ; ) haha. I think the device is pretty cool. Not only will it make a loud noise but will give the illusion that someone may be on the other side holding the door shut. I know it would scare the hell outta me if I were a criminal. But then again criminals are stupid so who knows?

They're great for hotel rooms. But you can't count on it to keep someone out, as they could just close the door slightly and push it under the door with something like a stick, etc.

I ordered 3 of these things; one for each door and one for my girlfriend. I think it's a super idea and would be enough to scare a buglar away 99% of the time. I suppose it wouldn't be good for a family with teenagers coming and going at all hours of the night, though.

The guy on ebay combined shipping for me....$18.00 total for all three, shipped.
