Gotta see if this is for sale locally and for how much. Not much use for the tactical light but the shorter stock with better pad would be nice since the older model wasn't able to be shortened I don't think.

Holy Frijole Batman! I just called the local gunstore. They say this thing is $1275 out the door.

That's insane.

First off, that store is likely charging full list price, and then some.

Second, price something like a Wilson gun set up the same way, and compare prices.
To top it off, Wilson builds guns on the cheaper Express model, not the 870P Police model.

Do some more shopping and price comparing.
A lot of dealers tend to try to scalp prices on Police guns in general, and specialty models like the MAX in particular.

everyone always pipes in about the "express" receiver used by wilson and other custom shotgun companies. The only difference between the two is in the finishing of the inside of the reciever and the finish applied to the outside of the firearm. Wilson and others "smooth" the inside of the reciever to a standerd far exceeding the inside of any factory remington product. The material the reciever is made from is no different than the 870p or the wingmaster recievers. The only diff. is the finished product on the express is less refined.
