I'd like to find a g-slide that has a retension screw with a slim profile.. between yaqui slide and galco g-slide. The yaqui leaves my 1911/hipower out further from the body than the galco.. but over time I realize the galco will loosen up.. without a thumbsnap is there a 'bikini" style slide with a retension screw/spring with the slim profile of the galco?

When I bought the galco price was a concern.. the yaqui was a lot more expensive but left the gun out further.

The holster should be IDPA legal (covering the trigger guard) strong side and "minimalist" and fit a 1911, commander or hi-power.

PS I dislike "paddle" holsters

Sparks' Mirage is a nifty belt slide. Unlike the others, it is worn beneath the belt. This helps keep everything pulled in clse to one's side. www.miltsparks.com (http://www.miltsparks.com)

Springbok also offers a "between pants and belt" holster in plastic. I have no direct experience with their goods, but have read positive comments.

I've used several different belt slide type holsters and like them, but for best concealment (with my scrawney build) the inside the belt type holster is a clear winner. I'd second Mr. Benson's comment about the Mirage.
