Picked up the PMax yesterday.
I'm impressed, it took a long time but Remington seems to be getting pretty serious about the 870. Glad to see it.
Needs a couple things, but not bad at all. I'm even re-thinking the pistolgrip, and I moved beyond that 15 years ago. :)

You'll need to do the Remington recommended strip and spray-down with Rem-Oil or CLP Breakfree to remove the factory cosmoline.

The mag tube clamp needs to be a sider instead of a bottomer, but the Sure Fire light on this one lines up a lot better with the sights than my old one does. I miss the old OFF switch to prevent an OOPS in activating the pressure pad, though. Excellent buttpad configuration, good sights. Working on a four-round Speed Feed stock, I'll have to ask them why they didn't use that model instead of the one that's on it.
I'll probably end up keeping it.
