Looking at buying one of the FN closeouts from CDNN. What advantages does it offer over the regular winchester 1300 defender? Also, are the chokes interechangeable with regular winchokes being that it is basically the same gun.

Don't know if the Winchester chokes are interchangeable or not. I do know you get two chokes the FN. A couple of years ago they would sell you additional chokes as well. (I've got an FN Police and called them to find out about getting additional chokes.) However, their website doesn't even mention the FN Police shotgun so I wonder if they have dropped it.

Chokes is one reason I like the FN. Makes the shotgun much more flexible.

Kwt - good find on FN Police Shotgun website. I went to http://www.fnherstal.com/html/Index.htm but could not find it from this page.

Thanks

I was thinking about ordering the 4 round magazine version from CDNN (it is much cheaper) plus it looks like it might make a nice slug gun with the right choke. It has a parkerized finish which I prefer. 4 round capcity would make it easier to plug for deer season. What is the quality level of the FN's. I guess it is pretty much a win 1300? Not had much experience with those. Thoughts?
