Mossberg 590 Question.

I would like to purchase a Mossberg 590 for home security. I would like the metal trigger gaurd and metal safety. Are these ONLY available in the 590A1 or other 590 models as well? If so, which model numbers. Mossberg.com is not clear on the subject.

Also, if they are not available in other 590 models, can the metal trigger gaurd and safety be ordered to replace the plastic ones?

Any input and/or advice would be greatly appreciated.

If not, they can be retrofit as most all 500/590 models are alike (except 590DA).

Go with any of the part numbers listed on the, above, webpage. These are all 590A1 models and should all have the metal trigger-guard and safety.

i have a 590 non A1 model and i replaced the plastic safety with an oversized aluminum vang comp one from brownells and modified it with an upgraded allen screw from home depot.

other than that i couldn't seem to find any way to separately order the metal trigger guard for my mossy, and lord knows i tried!
