I am looking for a good set of ear protection that will seal around the ear piece of a pair of glasses. I had some muffs at 1 time that worked great but they have since diapered and I have yet to find any that would work worth a darn.
Any suggestions?
p.s. I cant use ear plug types.I have a ear waxing issue that prevents their use without causing a build up in my ears. Sorry if you are grossed out but I must use muffs.
thanks.

If you are not shooting rifles where muff size matters, the best you can get for noise attenuation are Leightning which are rated at 34 NRR and run about $25. They have enough foam to seal around your ears to make glasses not be a problem for most. Of course, if your shooting glasses are monster-sized, you might have problems, but typical ones should be no problem.

Do you need the glasse for the prescription or just as eye protection?
If no prescription is needed you might try some of the eye protection that uses a band instead of a rigid ear piece.

Check out Peltor Model #10. You can find them in Cabella's and Numrich Gun Parts and probably Brownells. Look around the the best price and shipping cost.

I also wear glasses and get a tight seal from my 20 year old Dave Clark muffs and my newer Tasco Gold Medal muffs. If you have access to one of the large stores (Sportsmans Warehouse, Cabelas, Bob Wards, Gander MT., Bass Pro etc.) try on all they have in stock.
