NEF Pardner Turkey?

Well Im wondering about barrel length. Would 24 inches be a good all around barrel length? I am still looking at the Pardner Turkey 12 guage, and I am wondering if it would be a good all around shotty. I know some of my buddies are gonna go dove, quail, rabbit/squirrel and pheasent hunting soon. Would this gun/barrel length be good for that, or would I be better off with a 28 inch barrel, or pump shotty? I know this wont be my last shotty, just my first. That and it looks pretty sweet.

Pardners are a simple,reliable and inexpensive choice for a shotgun.Personally Id rather have a pump,but thats only for quick second shots.I could live with a 24" barrel no sweat,others may disagree.
