I have a Mossberg 835 3.5in mag. I need to know what choke I need to hunt Turkey. I guessing "Full". Am I wrong? I live in Up-State NY, if that matters.

AMT If you bought it new I believe it comes with a xtra full choke(mine did) that will be perfect for Toms.

You're limited to sizes 4-6. I use 4s. If you have a turkey choke [ extra full] use it but always pattern the load to see exactly how uniform and tight the pattern is .I found a nice buffered load which gives a more uniform pattern.

Yeah, try several. After spending a bunch of $$$ and time on several different combinations last year, I settled on a TruGlo Strut Stopper choke and Remington Nitro (lead) 3.5" turkey loads(#6 shot.) I'm a big fan of Federal ammo, but their turkey loads didn't seem to pattern very well in my 835.

You'll never know until you pattern the gun. With some of the various turkey loads, the Full choke might even pattern better than the x-full. The best way is to find out from your own gun. Try different loads and different chokes.
Good luck, and have fun.
