I know every slug gun "likes" different slugs, but out of curriosity i was wondering if any makes or models of guns tend to "like" any certain make or model of slug. So anyone with a slug gun (i am talking about rifled barrel with sabot slugs) can you just let me know the make and model of your gun and the ammo that works the best through it?
Thank you.

I have a H+R 980 heavy barrel in the mighty 12 gauge. It likes any of the fullbore type slugs like, lightfield, remington slugger and buckhammer,BRI's,and the federal truballs ect..I tried hornady's heavy mag 2k's:barf: that was the only sabots that I really tried because it really digs lightfields.I have a friend that has a 11-87 with a hastings barrel on it and my H+R will consistently shoot way better groups than his.

In my Rem 870 and Ithaca Deerslayer II I have had the best luck with Remington Copper Solids and the Lightfields.
