It'll certainly work for lighting up the house. I love mine. But for bump in the night, I prefer my 3D or 4D Mag because if all else fails, it's a helluva thumpin' stick.

With the standard lamp the G2 is about 80-85 lumens I believe. The upgraded lamp puts out about 120 lumens and will definitely screw up someone's night vision after getting blasted in the face with that puppy.

The G2 looks like a good light, I can smell some plastic burning now...

They are a great value in flashlight terms, should work great for you!

I mounted mine to my 870. Then I bought a G3 to keep with my P345 for a quick grab in the night. Then I mounted the G3 to my PC9 carbine. Then I had to buy a 6P to keep with my P345. It never ends. :)

I use one every day at work. I do plumbing service work and the light gets abused and still keeps working. I gave G2s to all my employees for Christmas several years ago and they all still work. I usually go thru about 24 batteries in a yr. My lite is about 3 yrs old.

G2 is 60 lumens for 1 hour, 125 lumens for 20 minutes. I use a LED third party head in my G2Z which is 100+ lumens for 2-3 hours.
