Hey, I'm still piecing my 10FP together and was wondering if anybody knew if the Bell and Carlson Medalist stock would be a direct fit (as in something a newbie like myself could do from home with no experience, but moderate mechanical knowledge) or if there would have to be some kind of actual modification required. link to the stock http://shootersdiscount.com/cart/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=96
Thanks in advance for any info

Yes, that style stock would work well. It is a drop fit for a 10/12 style Savage rifle. The way Savage does their model numbers is kind of cool. 10 designates a short action style gun. A 110 would be a long action. With the FP series, a 10 FP would be a 223 or 308. A 110 would be something along the lines of a 25-06 sized round. As long as you look for a stock that is a pre-fit for a short action 10 series Savage, you'll be fine.

You might need a drimmel tool to trim some areas to get a perfect fit.

This should come as no surprise, but, you will likely want to go ahead and bed the reciever.
With that said, the B&C will need a bit of work.
