I was recently going through my fathers things after he passed and i found a winchester 1400 12 guage seim-automatic and i am trying to find out how much it is worth and/or if it would be worth selling. I have been trying to find somewhere on the internet that i could find the value of it but i have been unseccesful. If anyone could help me i would greatly appreciate it.

you might do a google search using gun appraisals as the topic. I noticed several listed. One was listed with the nra.

I had a Winny 1400 several years ago. No problems with it. I still can't remember why I traded it. It wasn't a quality issue. They are a fairly popular gun and parts are still available for them.

This is the basic model and you need to be more specific on which version you have and whether or not you have a vent rib. I always start with the Fjestad "Blue Book". This gun would be pretty close, in the book although some guns are not. With a vent rib you are looking at $315.00 in 100% condition and $150.00 in 60% condition. Realisticly, you will fall someplace in between. Again, in order to nail down a better price, you have to be more specific as to the actual model. Good luck??
