Ron-congratulations on your choice of the 2000! I like mine more every time I pick it up, and I know you will too! Mine seems to find it's way into the car or pickup with me most times I leave the yard. (I live in a rural area). Ringnecks beware!

I have one as well and think its a great gun. I had put perhaps 2000 rounds though it without any failures. I noticed that the recoil spring started to get a bit loose. I could hold the gun vertically by the barrel and shake it and the action would rock back and forth. I figured it was time for a new spring. Since I was having trouble finding a replacement locally, I decided to take the spring out and give it a bit of a stretch. The gun hasn't cycled reliably since. On inspection the spring now has a few coils that overlap and they get caught under the action bar (that the bolt sits on) :o. Oh well, I now have a new spring on its way and am looking forward to getting it back in working order.
The only other thing I've heard to look out for is the cartridge feeder (the piece that's attached to the button that you push to release the action/bolt. The end of this (the end closest to the stock) has broken off in a few cases and causes feeding issues.
Anyway, enjoy that gun. Mine has been crazy reliable and a great buy.

bluebelton, how long have you had your 2000? I love mine enough to retire my Franchi 48 that had served me well for over 40 years.
I had one of the first run 2000s. Now have a new edition. It is the best thing since ice cream was invented. Long live the 2000.
I hope that you get your problem straightened out.

I've only had it about 3-4 years but I have shot quite a bit of skeet and trap with it as well as hunted with it. Not sure if mine is the "new" version or not but I'm guessing not. Like I said, its been dead reliable except for my current spring issue which I caused myself.

Installed the new spring and took it up for a workout. Works like a champ again!
