I have noticed on some Winchesters and Marlin's 30-30 lever actions the barrel stamp SC . <example 336 SC or win. 30-30 SC.> What does the SC stand for. I have gotten everything from the kind of stock, sporting carbine to the type of safety it has factory installed in the chamber. Can someone clear these markings up for me. RedRider42@aol.com
