removing camo paint??

Unfortunately I let a friend entirely camo my 870 and now I want it off and back to normal. How is the best way to achieve this arduous task?

what did he use? spraypaint? that guncote stuff? magic marker? need some more details.....

I know he used a spray paint entended to camo guns, green and brown mostly. As to brand I have no idea.

the original finish on this gun was that non-reflective dull finish

thanks guys, FYI the GON fourm gave me the answers- brake cleaner or gun scrubber. brake cleaner works pretty good.
