I may have fallen for this scam. I bought a Light Twelve, vent rib, 28', mod choke at a gun show in excellent condition for only $550. It seemed too good to be true, but there it was. My question is, how can someone make a profit from doing this? Obviously, they buy the Japan gun and Belgian barrel for less, but how much of a profit is there in $550? The Japan guns are not cheap and I assume Belgian barrels are'nt either.

eddy, it was not a scam for profit. There are lots of mis-matched guns out there because guys ruined a barrel and later replaced it or just wanted a different choke and swapped the barrel out. It is one of the things to look for on these guns.
