For mossbergs that have a 5 shot magazine tube, does this mean it can fit 5 3" magnums, or only 5 2.75" shells?
On remingtons website it says the 870 can fit 2.75" or 3" shells to the same capacity.
I thought about calling mossberg but thought someone here would know.

I own a Mossberg, and can tell you from experience, that it will fit 5, 2 3/4 inch shells in the tube, OR 4, 3 or 3 1/2 inch shells. If I'm running 3 inch or 3 1/2 inch shells, usually slugs, which come in boxes of 5, I load 4 into the tube, rack one in, and pop the 5th in there so I don't have single shells laying around.
It also tells you this in the owners manual, but we all know, nobody ever reads that. I know I didn't until I wanted to switch barrels on my gun and had to read how to do it.
