I have always loved double barreled shotguns; 12 gauge mostly. I was looking around online for something, not elegant or too pricey, but strong and reliable, for field work. I saw the Stoeger Uplander and it seems to be just what I am seeking. Does anyone have experience with and/or opinions on this gun? Or does anyone recommend an alternative? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I picked up my 12 gauge Upland for 299+tax used a few months ago as a birthday present to my girlfriend. We both love it :)

i have a 12 and a 20,,,,while they are not the most elegant guns i have ever held,,,they do work and get the job done nicely
i think if a guy was,,,ah,,,wanting something to do or just couldn't help himself,,,he could take some time and get rid of some of the blockiness of the stock and forearm and then refinish
but for the most part i am happy with the two i have

Bang for buck- it's the best thing going since they dropped the 311E. Stoeger makes a good product line- love the heck out of mine.

I have one in 20ga... I chose the fixed choke version... I noticed that the changeable one's seemed to be distorted at the end..like pushing the barrel's apart..Maybe just the one's I looked at...But it was noticable....Drop

I know this is an old thread, but I just had to comment on how pleased I am with my Stoeger Uplander. I have the 26" 12 & 20 gauge combo, and I used the 12 gauge barrel set to put away my first turkey last weekend. I just enjoy the heck out of this shotgun!:D

I have a Stevens Upland, Mod. 411 I think. Made in Russia by Baikal. Same gun as the Stoeger?
No. Stoeger Uplanders are made in Brazil.
