I Just Got A New Mossberg 500
With The Marine Coat Finish
And The Receiver Was Marred On Both Sides . The Gun Was Sent Back To Mossberg The First Time It Came Back The Same Way.
Hope They Fix It This Time.
Does Mossberg Have A Marine Coat Finish Issue???

Mossberg has a handling and packing issue. They don't pack their firearms in plastic and Styrofoam. Just a plain box. Many of their guns have dings, scratches and rub marks.

thats to bad. That's what the gun smith told me. but they should
make it rite with a new reciver or gun
this is not a used gun but new never fired gun.
SHAME ON THE MESS!!!!

yes but must have missed it
I was going to get a standard 500 and thin i asked the store keeper if he could get the marine 500 he said
hold on i may still have one in the back in the box
the store was just about to close
I opened the box took a quick look
payed and out the door i went
got home and opened the box in good light
and thats when i spotted it
that was Saturday afternoon
Monday the gun shop shipped the gun back to Mossberg they cleaned the gun tested it and shipped it back
it was the same way it was when we shipped it
called Mossberg and they sent me a shipping label and back it went
they still have it
the receiver is marred on both sides
by the stock
hope they get it rite this time

what are the chances that Mossberg will make this rite?

Does Remington have the same finish as the Mossberg gun
the marine coat finish
is the Remington 870 marine defender
a better gun than the Mossberg 500marine shotgun???

Mossberg is mailing my gun back with a new receiver and mag tube we will see how it goes

i have a mossberg 500 that needs refinished in the marine coat .does anyone have phone #"s and adresses and cost to get this done.
