Can anyone recommend a good flashlight for nightstand use with a strobe function? Thanks

I would recommend the JetBeam Jet II Pro from Bugoutgear

Here is a review of several comparable lights that include the JetBeam:

The most useful light I own is the First Light Tomahawk GP. They have a version with a strobe, but it is pricey. I honestly have not come across a better flashlight for my purposes, and I own dozens of lights. I carry it with me on my daytime job-where I use it to inspect the products we manufacture, it's used on the farm, and when my day is finished it rests on my nightstand.

I have a Fenix P3D with strobe, at 205 lumens the strobe is very bright.
I have noticed that it bother wild animals (raccoons) even when used with a red filter.
