Mini-14 red dotting

Im infatuated with my Mini-14.

I want to put on a red dot, but I dont think I'll be needing more than a cheapo one, if it breaks which it will I'll bite the bullet for an EOTECH. I was looking at some of the cheap ones like Leapers, but then I thought, why not go mid range and spend about an even $150.

suggestions? Ultra dot? Burris?

I have an Aimpoint 3000 on mine. Got it used on Ebay some years back for about $75. You might give something like that a thought.
