Spreader choke????

I saw this listed on a Mossberg spec sheet. A .410 was listed with a spreader choke. What is it?

Supposedly just what it says. Supposed to do the opposite of a normal choke and increase the pattern diameter even wider than a cylinder (no) choke. Never tried one myself. Might leave some big holes in the thin, sparse pattern of a .410.

Pretty much just gives your lead shot a 3 to 4 ft diameter. I just spreads the shot out in a larger pattern than a normal choke would do.
