With all the big company's taking over smaller ones I was wondering who owns what? I know FN owns Winchester and Browning, Beretta owns Benelli and Sako. But what else out there has merged, or does one company own everything without even knowing it?

Remington is owned by a company, but I don't remember its name, who also recently purchased Marlin.

IIRC, Remington is owned by Cerebus, the folks who owned Chrysler and other companies.....

Beretta also owns Stoeger and other brands, but lets them operate as separate companies

They also own DPMS.

I thought that Beretta only imported Sako under their name, and didn't actually own them.

No, Beretta bought out Sako. Here are the current companies in the Beretta Group. I believe their most recent acquisition was Burris Optics.

Additionally, Wikipedia says they also own 20% of Browning (but I haven't tried to fact-check that):

"The parent company, Beretta Holding, also owns Beretta USA, Benelli, Franchi, SAKO, Stoeger, Tikka, Uberti, the Burris Optics company and a twenty per cent interest of the Browning Arms company."
