Cobraman,

Try Gunland in Kissimmee, 407-932-1919 or Shoot Straight ack! in Apopka 407-889-0842

You should have tried the show at the fairgrounds LAST week, there were several dealers with Maks.

There is a gunshow at the Lakeland Center on February 2-4. There should be several dealers if you can make it. You can get more info at their website http://thelakelandcenter.com

On Aloma in Winter Park.
I've heard too many shakey things about Shoot Straight to feel comfortable about dealing with them.

Reigs on S OBT might be a place to look too. Last time I was there they had two, one in .380 and one is 9mm russian however this was a while ago

Universal Weapons on S OBT by Costco is a nice little place as well.

Shooters Den: 407-671-2081

Universal Weapons: 407-851-2216

Reigs:407-859-5064

Cobra, E mail me, Were both in O-town and should get together to do some shooting :)

Hey Cobraman, The last time I stopped in at Gunland, they had a couple of Macs, also Mike at Universal is a good guy to deal with. I live in Clermont and there is nothing out here! Good luck. Stu Gotts

What problems have you guys had with Shoot Straight? Especially at the shows they always have the best selection and prices.

Some bad experiences at Shoot Straight on my part. High prices in store and rude counter people. Now this is at the one in Longwood but I have the same from other people.
Of course this is all hearsey so dont let it ruin your day.
We used to have a member on TFL who worked at Shoot Straight but I dont remember who it is.

I concur with Cobraman, I went into their store soon after I moved to Orlando, I was looking for a range and gunstore to use on a regular basis. You would have thought I had full blown wet leprosy from the way the guy behind the counter forced himself to answer my questions.

Sorry buddy, for the moment I was just looking for a range, not to buy anything, YET. I guess he didn't want to be bothered with my buisness.

About a year later I was working part time at one of the other shops in town. Now the owners of this "other" shop never once bad mouthed the competition, not their style. However, from the stories I heard from customers, combined with their treatment of me in the past was eneough to turn me off to them completely.

Full blown wet leprosy ! HAHAHa. East Orange is Range of choice and if I can I will buy from them. Why? Because they are polite and nice people and they never hassle my girlfriend when she is there. I just wish they had an unissused E.German surplus Mak is stock for $50.

The folks at East Orange are a nice bunch, they are now owned by the folks at Shooters Den. I've been trying to arange my schedule to go do one of their practical tactical matches but I haven't been able to work it out.

Cobra, we ought to get together some day to make "some thunder" as the poem goes. Feel free to email

Rob

I think East Orange is seperate from Shooters Den now. Yes we should get together and make some thunder. I will email as soon as my stupid email goes back up. Stupid multinational corporation I work for can't the Lotus Notes server up.
I am going to stop by East Orange and ask if they will locate a Mak for me. Maybe a Springfield Champion Parkerized too.

East Orange is definitely separate from Shooters Den now. I know the owner (Dick Divittorio) well and he is a good guy and generous supporter of the local shooting sports. Decent gunsmith too. I managed to get to one of his Thursday night (practical/tactical) matches and it was a lot of fun. They shoot IDPA down there one night a month also.

Cobraman, I've heard worse than that from other people (not that I will repeat them in a public forum) so it certainly won't ruin my day. I've known one or two of the guys there for quite a while and they usually treat me pretty well. Their prices are certainly higher than they used to be. And I never shop at their Casselberry store - they really suck in there. Apopka is much better.

Ok I went by East Orange on my way home from work.
Ian(I think thats is name) Said he would find either an East German or Bulgarian Mak for me and call me as soon as he can. I also stopped by Shooters Den to see what kind of ammo they had. They were a little low on Handguns.

Hi all, The first time my wife and I used the range at Shoot Straight they where friendly, but the next time I stopped in they said I had to buy all the ammo I shot there from them. They would not let me shoot any ammo I brought with me. The guy I bought a Galco holster from was cold and a little nasty!! That was the last time they will see me come through their door. Stu Gotts

I highly recommend East Orange. I bought my HS2000 there a few weeks ago and shoot there on a weekly basis. They are very friendly, helpful, and have good prices. If Ian says he'll find you one, he'll probably try pretty hard. They seem like nice guys over there.
