Looking over SIGARMS site, I notice they list the SIG 226 as having a 13 round LE only magazine.
However, when I look at pre-ban mags for the P226 they are all 15 rounders.
What's the deal? Is SIGARMS undercutting LEO's or do the old 15-round mags not work in the new P226's?
Thanks,
Jon

.40 mags are 13 rounds, while the 9's are 15.

And, be advised, there is no such thing as a pre-ban .40/.357 mag for the P226 -- they were introduced after the ban.

Some folks have widened the feed lips and replaced the 9mm follower with a .40 S&W follower on a pre-ban 9mm magazine to create a 13 round .40 S&W pre-ban magazine.

Yeah, but FWIW the ATF has a written opinion stating that that's "manufacturing" a new magazine, with all the potential legal overhead that goes with that.
