Out of curiosity, what cleaners do you guys use for your semi-auto's? I am still trying to find the right combo. Currently using Hoppes No9 with G-96 and whatever patches I find. I am not completly happy with the combo and I was wondering what you are using.

I use Hoppes No#9 and Gun Scrubber. Just bought a BIG bottle of Hoppes the other day ;)

Gun scrubber is really good, but you need to make sure you re-oil all the treated parts with new oil. Gun scrubber seems to leach off the old stuff really well, but the old oil on surface actually helps protect the metal.
I like to use Hoppes #9 or Breakfree in the barrel and tough spots where there is buildup. Breakfree is a good, general purpose cleaner.

I've been using Hoppes #9, BreakFree, and Gun Scrubber. I've also added BreakFree in aerosol. I was using Super Lube aerosol but the BreakFree seems to work better without becoming tacky. As Gopher .45 noted, Gun Scrubber leaves the metal surfaces completely dry. I use the aerosol BreakFree on the hard to reach areas to be sure the areas are properly lubed and protected.

lochaber: I will soak my barrel in Butch's Bore Shine (20 min.) while I wipe down the rest of the gun with Hoppe's #9 then lube everything lightly with Breakfree.
All the best,

WARNING: DO NOT GET HOPPE'S NO.9 AND A TOOHBRUSH AROUND ANY SIG-SAUER HANDGUN!!!
I read here on TFL that the master gunsmith
at SigArms in Exeter, N.H. recommends the
exculsive use of BREAK FREE CLP, for
all cleaning chores conducted on their products!!! :) :) :D
If in doubt, place a call to SigArms for
verification.

Sigarms recommends Kleen Bore's TW25-B as a lubricant for their guns. They never specified a cleaner. I got that from a phone conversation with them. Personally, I just started using MPro-7 to clean and Militec-1 to lubricate. The MPro-7 works great. It got out some stuff Hoppe's, Bore Scrubber, and Tetra didn't get out. I've yet to test out the Militec at the range.

I used Hoppes products religiously. The only time I cheat is when I strip my MKII pistol and wash it with Gun Scrubber. For how seldom I take it apart (and I should do it more) it's worth the $5 or so a cleaning.

I use a Bore-Snake ASAP after shooting. Once I get around to actually taking the gun apart, CLP and sometimes Lapua's Bore Cleaner (I'm not sure what this stuff is called in the U.S. Anyone know this stuff?)

I use a "home made" mixture of "ED's RED.
It is equal parts of:
K-1 Kerosene
Varsol
Dextron 2 or Dextrol 3
There is a websight but, I don't know what it is right off.
