I wouldn't assume he had. He wasn't sharp enough to know about the gap, he wasn't sharp enough to read the manual - what makes you think he was smart enough to know he had to sight it in.....after all, he bought it with the scope already on it, so it had to be sighted in, right
I have about 600 rds through my .460, and I still have all my fingers. If I can do it, it can't be rocket science...
