It's not a matter of SIG Arms not importing more P225s, it's a matter that SIG Sauer will stop manufacturing as of this year. The information comes straight from them.

I don't know where you are, but anyone asking for and anyone paying for a P225 mag what they would for a P228 preban mag is a fool.

There are a bunch of places you can get new P225 mags for under $40. Ivanhoe's Outlet sells new blued P225 mags for $32 and nickeled ones for $37. When I had my FFL check with a distribuitor he was told that there was no worry over P225 mags, just that one distribuitor had over 300 in stock.
