I'm looking at getting my first 1911. I has come down to three models. The Springfield 1911-A1 Mil-Spec, which is pretty basic not to many whistles and bells. The Taurus and the Charles Daly appear to be identical in features (ambi. safety, hammer, trigger, beaver tail, etc.) All the pistols are $525, brand new in box.

My question, which one should I get?

any advise would be helpful.
