You cannot "silence" a revolver by definition. The cylinder gap allows too much gas (noise) to escape.
Supersonic rounds (such as the vast majority of 9mm loads) cannot be adequately silenced, since the so-called "sonic boom" makes a distinctive noise.
SUPRESSION is a different matter...
