Not a personal attack, but that line of thinking is bad. He's not lucky at all, no matter what it's compared to.

He should be fighting this with everything they have at their disposal. Protests, demonstrations, email alerts...whatever. Once the erosion starts, it's almost impossible to reverse the effects.

There is no 'baseline' to compare when liberties are taken away.
