I have this same stock as well. It is an excellent stock and very accurate, however, it would not fully free float my Remington 700 SPS-V in .308. I had to use sand paper on the barrel channel to get it to free float. It is now free floating but only by a few thousands of an Inch, which is enough but i wanted a stock that would free float the barrel without the use of sand paper. Maybe mine was a lemon? not sure.
