It is DA/SA. The safety is operated like a 1911 safety, except there is a stiff decocker if you press the safety down. The pistol can be carried cocked and locked.

I have not tested the PT58 grips on a PT92. I did test them on the PT100. The grips are the same on both pistols. I presume PT92 grips would fit.
