I like my XD subcompact 9mm allright. It was my first semi-auto and I bought it for hype and price mainly. I like the grip with the extension, but not to crazy about the basic 10 rd magazine grip. It's a bit to short for my taste. I've fired the 4" and of course my 3" and like the 4" much better, but my 3" is a better concealer for my body type. Upsides of the XD series is price,you get a bit of extra stuff with the gun,mine has been very reliable thus far (over 500 rds), and I think they look cool. Downside would be that there aren't a whole lot of holsters readily available for the xd series yet, and apparently the rusting problem?? (can someone tell me about the rusting problem I haven't heard of this) I'd say for 450-500 bucks it's definitely worth getting. I like them just as much as Glock and I think it'll be a series that only improves with time.
