It's clearly not just a rebadged P3AT. It's been reworked from the ground up although it still retains a HEAVY similarity to the original design. I'm reserving judgement at this point, but it's obvious, to me at least, that this is not just a "prettied-up Kel-Tec"--most of the changes I see are functional, not cosmetic. Which means that it's not possible to make a judgement of the LCP based on the P3AT unless there's some retained aspect of the new design that was causing problems in the old design.
