I'm coming out of retirement for this. All I can tell you is that in any future dealings with FBI, inform them that you are recording the conversation. If you are (gasp) called in for an interview, borrow a Dictaphone recorder and indicate to them that you will not interview without a recording.
They will likely bid you good day. FBI has more or less standing policy to not conduct interviews that are recorded. And I'll echo everyone else - GET A LAWYER.
