...made it sound as if the 1:7 was only good for 75gr or larger.

just wanted to clarify.

the 1:7 seems to work well for 55gr-77gr.im not aware of anything larger,at least not thats available commercially(have heard about a 90gr or 100gr).

the 1:9 seems to run from 40gr-50gr(?) on the low end,up to 68gr on the high end.although there seems to be some variance even in rifles with the same twist rate.some seem to have a faster 1:9 that does ok with 75gr,and others with a slower 1:9 which doesnt.

but if you definately want to shoot the 75gr/77gr stuff(i do),1:7 or 1:8 is the way to go.
