Well, not quite
everyone. I've owned three, but I don't own any of them now. I sold the last one, which I bought to prepare for deployment, because I had no use for it after I deployed.
I do not imagine myself engaging in running, multi-mag firefights with the US government, the Chinese army, al-Qaeda, or MS-13. I don't find the design particularly appealing. Rather, I find the overall design clunky and "unslick." I find it difficult to shoot well compared to some of my other rifles, especially with the grungy military trigger. I don't enjoy shooting it, especially when I can shoot my Garand or Scout instead.
I have no complaints about the design's reliability, though. And of the 600+ guys in my infantry battalion, I've not talked to anyone else with a complaint about 5.56mm power or the design's reliability.
