kingbubbatruck; I like your thinking because that's usually the way it works with me, too. Sometimes it's hard to know exactly what you want until you have some experience in the genre; so just one of whatever won't do. I guess this is how we end up with collections of these things.
A couple of month ago, I picked up my first .223, a Rem 700 SVS Varmint. So now I have the need for a long heavy barrel taken care of. I love shooting it and I love the round, particularly the economics of the ammo. But I can't help but think how fun that round would be out of a semi auto with a much lighter barrel. At the same time, I don't want to give up MOA accuracy unless that's just the way it has to be. Ohhhh... what to do - what to do?
Perhaps I should follow your example. I'll just go into the local shop and throw myself on their mercy. "nOgunsBama is coming. Shoot me if I try to leave empty handed!"
