FWIW, I had my 870 riding in my truck loaded with Remington buckshot and also had two 5-pks of Remington buckshot stashed with it. All of the ammunition was several months old.

When I unloaded the 870 to clean it, I found that the crimp on the shells had come loose and the plastic was spilling out.

I checked the ammo that was still in the factory boxes and it was also losing the filler.

So I'm looking for ammo with a better crimp than the Remington.

Anyone else had this problem?
