Squirrels can be quite feisty. For a while I had squirrels from hell in my yard because I was feeding the birds peanuts in the shell, and the squirrels helped themselves.
They where so fiesty one of them took two of my cats around the house at least once. One cat weighed 18 pounds and the other 15 pounds, and these cats used to run large raccoons.
Cats where scared as hell of the squirrels. It was pretty funny watching the encounters.
