That is unreal. I'm not familiar with the XDs, but are they still made in Croatia?
Anyway, call Springfield, they should pay for shipping on this one and send it in. It's a new gun and shouldn't be an issue for them to turn it around quickly. Springfield has a great reputation for customer service so I'm sure that they'll take care of you.
