I went into my local store Monday with the intention of getting one. Almost did until I found a LNIB Springfield GI for $380. Yes, to bring my GI level with the Taurus (should I want to) I'll have to spend some money; however, it does shoot good as is.
I agree that the Taurus represents a great value for a 1911 but my only concern is they tend to sell some lemons - my 24/7 Pro went back to Taurus to fix a trigger problem a week after I bought it. Taurus had the gun for 2 1/2 months but at least it came back fixed...
