I have a sp101 3" .357 mag. It's a great gun, but if you're not going to carry it (home defense backup), you may want to consider something a bit bigger. Full size GP100/686/Tracker or one of their competitors, perhaps. More rounds, more weight, less recoil.

If it sits in my nightstand/gunsafe/wherever and not concealed IWB or pocket, I'd rather have a 6 or 7 shot wheel than a 5 shot wheel.
